Phosphite trails looking at the efficacy of injecting large mature trees with phosphite to slow the onset of the disease and hence reduce disease impact on kauri.
Outcomes
Progress update - To date the trial has shown that a single application of the low rate is insufficient to suppress lesion growth in large trees. More than a year after a second treatment, there are still concerns about lesion activity on some trees. A final assessment is scheduled for Februrary 2021.
